Turkish Residence Permit Guide 2025
Property Owner Short-Term Residence Permit
- Eligibility: Any property ownership in Turkey
- Duration: 1–2 years, renewable indefinitely
- Family: Spouse and children can apply for Family Residence Permit
- Work rights: Separate work permit required
Other Permit Types
Family Residence Permit — for spouse and dependent children of Turkish citizens or permit holders.
Student Residence Permit — for enrolled students at recognised Turkish institutions.
Long-Term Residence Permit — after 8 continuous years of legal Turkish residence.
Application Process
- Apply online: e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr
- Book appointment at Provincial Migration Directorate (İl Göç İdaresi)
- Attend with required documents
- Pay annual permit fee
- Receive ikamet kartı (residence card) by post
Required Documents
- Valid passport (all pages, copies)
- TAPU title deed copy
- Valid health insurance for Turkey
- Proof of sufficient funds (bank statements)
- 4 biometric photographs
- Completed application form
